AT ONE WITH THE REGION.
FOR 160 YEARS.
The Payerbacherhof lies at the foot of the Raxalpe mountains and in Payerbach town centre, just under an hour’s drive south of Vienna. It was built by the then mayor of the municipality of Payerbach/Reichenau in 1854 – coincidentally at the same time that the Semmering Railway was being built.
Over time the inn, first known as the “Gmowirtshaus”, became today’s PayerbacherHof by means of various additions and alterations. For four generations it has been owned by the Hübner family and this year celebrates its 160th anniversary! And there is already the prospect of generation five taking over one day.
Our family – Heinz and Ingrid Hübner, the children Lucia, Konstantin, Matthias and Lena, plus Lily the family dog – join the staff members in looking forward to your visit!
